A new name – BTM Software
BTM has evolved from a consulting company at the starting period towards a software company. The interesting part is that this was not a strategic business decision made by BTM, but it was purely driven by market forces.
When BTM started in 2002 as BTMsolutions GmbH, we were a 100% consulting firm delivering implementation services for EMC² Documentum ’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) customers.
At that time, providers of engineering solutions for EMC² Documentum were making good money on their software products, however, they forgot the most important thing in business: you need to keep satisfying the business needs of the customer.
As these customers where paying maintenance fees for products no longer seriously being developed, they requested BTM to develop alternative products. It was our goal to deliver products with at least the same functionality and business benefits at a significant lower price.
According to our customers, we have reached that goal and all our customers are referenceable. The customer is number one to us. This is not just a slogan; it is our sincere corporate objective to constantly increase the productivity of our customer.
As the customer no longer is interested in solutions, implementaties without standard maintenance, but require standard software with standard maintenance and support, BTM has decided to deliver only software to their customers.
This is why we have changed our name from BTM Solutions to BTM Software.
